the fourth look.
Look four comprises an oversized pant with a crossed belt detail, a cross top and an overall bib. The pants and top are both naturally dyed with black bean and are made from secondhand canvas and tencel. The top includes a hem with several vertical drawstrings that rise about 20” and allow the wearer to raise their pants if outdoor conditions get messy.
The top is a simple cross top silhouette that mimics the wrapping and tying of oversized garments seen by many who exist so closely with the Earth. The pockets align with the oversized detail across other looks with the hope that natural findings can be easily stored.
The overall bib top is made of an upcycled light weight canvas and is screen printed with an image of a farming technique observed in Northern Africa. The screen print ink is made of a natural walnut dye. The bib serves as an additional convertible storage element and can be worn in various ways such as on the front, back or around the waist. The straps fall to floor length and allow for many tying variations, again, mimicking the various layers of oversized pieces tied together.
